He didn't age physicly or mentally, his body was preserved. The boyfriend can be a little younger than his girlfriend, it's not uncommon. Everyone has their selfish moments. He was asked to do so much for so many people, and he doesn't have a choice. He would probably like to make some decisions every once in a blue moon.
Katara can be selfish, Zuko can be selfish, Toph can be selfish.. I don't vote on lust, I vote on love. I like Katara and Zuko both, but not together. I'm not telling people that they're stupid for liking Zutara, we all have opinions.

Another being he knows how she feels about loseing family. He probably understands her better then anyone in the series. If anything Zuko doesn't understand her I man come on they hated eachother for most of the series!
Not all the time. A lot of the times opposites get into fights! Positive vs Negitive magnets totally defy eachother as would Zuko and Katara! Aang lost his whole nation his mother probably included I think he understands.

When you luk for someone to love you dont look for ugly people. Zuko and Katara never had a connection they were never friends, Zuko only cared about capturing Aang thus killing kataras hope for the world. Zuko never cared for Katara up until season 3, Aang has cared for since they first met.
Zuko and Katara would fit this pretty well. They are both people who like emotional connection. Katara is good at handling temper, and he is calm with her once he is on their side. Her brightness and kindness work well with his seriousness and determination. Zuko can share some of Katara's work so she won't be doing stuff for other's all day, like she usually does. Katara can make him happy. She can't magically make his problems go away, but she can inspire him to make them better himself.
He can help her look at all sides of a situation, instead of viewing the world as black and white like she usually does. Also, Zuko shows affection is ways that Katara would enjoy.
He's actually a real softie. Katara is mature, smart, and a good listener--Zuko would like to talk to someone like that. It doesn't even have to be a romantic conversation. And ,well Kataang is a lot like parental love.
Not to say that they can't have normal interaction, because they can and they do. But there are times when she really acts like his mom. She disciplines him when he's misbehaving, she is very protective and nurturing towards him, and she coddles him a lot.
It's a canon fact that she mothers him at times, as seen in the Runaway. And frankly? I don't care if she mothers everyone. Because her attitude towards Zuko her potential romantic partner has never been motherly. And yeah, Katara mothers the whole gaang. But that is so irrelevant, because the gaang includes Aang. Yeah, she does mother them all. But she is never shown in a romantic light with Toph and Sokka, so her mothering them isn't a problem.
Her mothering Aang is a little weird because he has fantasies about kissing her. But Katara? Also: EIP. I'm sorry, but I can't get over that episode. In 'the Desert' I wasn't freaking out that he never appologized to Katara for being a jerk because that was a very tough time for him, and it would be kind of mean of her to expect him to be all moral and kind when he's so angry and sad.
Katara let him let his anger out, and he got over it. But in EIP, he's perfectly fine. He's comfortable. Aang was never anxious to see her reaction to the kiss before. We never saw him wondering when she would bring it up, and he never brought it up either.
In fact, I don't think he ever doubted she'd love him back "I thought we were gonna be together" And just the fact that he has such a blatant disregard to her feelings kind of scares me. And then he kisses her when she says she's confused, and doesn't appologize, even though there was no reason for him not to.
That whole scene between them was a big issue that could not be blown over. Katara and Zuko would never be in a situation like this, because they always call eachother out when they have problems. Because they get their fights over with quickly, they never have any trouble. Aang doesn't get Katara. He didn't understand her in TSR "I knew you wouldn't understand". And really, it was kind of shocking to see his attitude towards her anger and grief. I mean, Aang cares about Katara very much, and they're good friends, but I just couldn't understand why he would try and get her to be moral.
Back in the Desert , when Aang was being a general asshole, she never told him to try and be nice. And the thing is, Aang needed to be told that his attitude wasn't helping anything. And if Aang had continued his behavior, then Toph or maybe Sokka would call him out on it Katara never gives him more than 'gentle nudges'.
But they would never, ever say that he should forgive the sandbenders. She was so non-judemental, even when he needed to be told to cut out his attitude And he did not try to help her find closure. He simply told her what he thought she should be doing. It was not Aang's place to tell her anything, because he didn't have a better solution to help her let go of her pain.
If Katara decided to not find Yon Rha, then what would happen? Aang would say "good job Katara", but he'd never try and talk to her about her mom. Aang has always known about what happened to her mother. He has known about every bad thing that has ever happened to her. Why hasn't he sympathized? In the end, she didn't have to do anything. Aang saw the little baby, the newly born embodiment of the possibilty of a better life, and he felt hopeful.
Katara worried over Aang for nothing because, in the end, he's not as emotionally vulnerable as she thinks. Katara always feels the need to take care of him, and Aang really doesn't need it. They both need to realize that. He's stronger than she thinks. Katara doesn't have to wipe his tears. Aang needs someone who can motivate him without cuddling him. Because he's more emotionally secure than Katara knows. Nevertheless, it's a shame that recently it is customary to criticize this shipp and say that even Zutara is better.
Although I admit I also like this shipp, but Kataang is just as good. I aplogize for that part. I have never been good at debates, but again, I would say they are fairly young as well Sokka and Suki were older, but what i doubt your considering is Aang needs to fight Ozai.
You know what Toph said about people gettin more powerful when they are super emotional? Katara hated that Aang died, so she created the wave. Plus you gotta consider; was Sokka or Suki's lives at that much stake? As far as they know, its slim that they will die. Aang's life was more at stake. Its up for interpetaion. Like I said, I hate the fact that Katara seems to show less affection between the invasion and the finale. She could've been preparing for Aang's loss, because you never know what could happen before you face the firelord.
I have never been good at refuting arguments. I dunno why my mom says that I should be a lawyer. Kataang in my opinion was barely rushed because of the creator's ignorance to continue the subplot.
I think the dude here does it better. The main reason is probs because of the age difference. I think the main reason why peeps like Zutara more is well
